Montague & Area Rotary Club members Carla Morgan and Dr Pius Murnahan present a cheque for $1,769.28 to Thelma Johnston, centre, Executive Director of the Hospice Association of Southern Kings. The cheque was from the charity portion of the week #50, February 11 draw of the Rotary Gold Mine Lottery. Ms Johnston picked up the cheque at the weekly Rotary meeting held at Perrin’s Marina Villa in Montague February 27. This week’s cash prize was not claimed so the pot is expected to hold almost $8,000 for the next draw. To date, the Rotary Gold Mine had awarded more than $100,000 in prizes and almost $100,000 to charities in eastern Prince Edward Island. All 19 & over are welcome to play the $2 lottery.
